The first session is free, and it is simply about meeting each other. We talk about how you are doing, why you are considering therapy, and what your goals are. Where do you stand today — and where do you want to go? Most importantly, you get a real feel for what it is like to work with me and the Relational Intelligence® method — so you can sense whether this is right for you.
What happens in a session?
Therapy reaches deeper when safety is present. The first sessions are about building a solid therapeutic alliance – a space where we approach your vulnerable parts at a pace your body is ready for. Along the way, you will also gain insight into the nervous system, emotional regulation, and how early experiences shape us – tailored specifically to the themes we work on together.
Each session has its own rhythm. We start by landing and finding calm, share the theme for the session, explore what comes up, and find our way back to a regulated state before we close. At the end we look at what has shifted – and possibly lay a plan for further work.
You set the pace yourself. It can be weekly, every other week, or monthly. With focused themes, you can go far in a few sessions. With deeper work around trauma and attachment, time and relationship are an important part of the process — and longer support offers the best conditions for lasting change.
